WAY Program (Widening Advancements for Youth) is a personalized learning experience for students who struggle in traditional high school and have either dropped out or are on their way to doing so. Utilizing a blend of face-to-face and online learning environments, this program focuses on connecting the learning of rigorous standards to the interests and needs of the individual student. The WAY Program is working with the Muskegon Area Intermediate School District to establish the program here in Muskegon.

All students enrolled in the program are paired with a mentor and have access to highly-qualified, certified teacher experts through the online community. Students receive an iMac to use at their home, a digital camera, and internet connectivity if they do not already have it. In addition to the online learning, students attend a Learning Lab at least twice each week. Upon completion of the program, students receive an official high- school diploma through their home district. To learn more, please visit www.waymuskegon.org or contact James Mueller at 231-767-7248.
